The products typically have an expensive price and make use of top materials, but they're also light, sweat-resistant and comfortable enough for long listening sessions.
The flagship 700s is a fantastic example. They feature an upgraded eight-microphone (six for cancelling sounds, and two for picking a voice) and eleven customizable ANC modes. You can listen to the world around you or block the world completely. They're also equipped with a "Conversation Mode" button that allows you to temporarily stop your music in order to make an emergency call or make a brief announcement.
Another excellent feature is the Bose TruSleeve, a removable covering that wraps around the neck and rests on the upper ear for extra noise reduction when you're out and about. It is available for all QuietComfort products and can be customised using the app to fit your lifestyle and ear.
Comparing the 700s to our top pick, the Sony WH1000XM5, they come with superior microphones for phone calls. This makes them a great choice for those who take calls frequently and need to be heard clearly traveling.

The headphones come with a cable with a 3.5mm plug on the other end, which allows for wired listening. They also have an ANC button located on the left earcup. The app allows you to set the ANC at three different levels and turn on the hear-through mode to play ambient sounds.
The headphones are lightweight and designed to be worn for long periods. They come with soft cushions that feel comfortable for the ears. Sound is bright and dynamic and has an impressive bass response that is well-controlled. The treble doesn't sound as crisp as you'd get from top-rated models like the Sony WH-1000XM4 and Jabra Elite 85H, but it's adequate for most music genres.
The Bose Connect and Bose Music apps allow you to adjust the audio settings and alter the EQ. They also have a great microphone for hands-free calling, as well as a voice assistant which does a great job of dissociating ambient noise from your speech when you are answering questions. The headphones also have a very neutral midrange response, so voices reproduce well. The only drawback is that they do not support the most recent Bluetooth codecs, like aptX Adaptive or LDAC, which would enable lossless playback.

Tap twice to play/pause, swipe up or down to adjust the volume and move forward to skip tracks. A single-tap answers calls, and a double-tap rejects calls that are incoming.
